Chain Reaction is a small, boutique winery on the Naramata Bench, owned and operated by a husband and wife team that love wine so much they gave up successful careers in Vancouver in 2018 to start this adventure. “We’ve never worked so hard. We’ve never been happier”.
Spring 2022 will mark the grand opening of the tasting room which already offers some of the most critically acclaimed wines in the Okanagan. The Pinot Gris recently earned a Platinum award at the BC Lieutenant Governor’s awards while the Pinot Noir earned gold at the Wine Align national competition. This type of recognition is generally unheard of for a brand new winery.
Ever since we first met in 1991, we have been huge advocates of the BC wine industry. For 30 years we vacationed in the Okanagan annually, visiting our favourite wineries while discovering the many new ones. It was during one of the early wine tastings when a seed was planted that took close to over 25 years to turn our crazy dream into reality, which started with planting our first vineyard in 2019.
We are actively involved in most aspects of the operation with a focus on creating high quality small batch wines. We really want to produce great wines, which is why we are so fortunate to have one of the best winemakers, Dwight Sick, working with us.
Though there are several reasons why we chose the name Chain Reaction for our winery, it was our mutual love of cycling, particularly in the Okanagan, that has inspired our brand.
Our wines include Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Rosé (100% Pinot Noir), Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Chardonnay and a sparkling wine. Some exciting new wines will be reserved only for wine club members!
