2023 HALF CORKED MARATHON May 26-28th
Come ‘Back to the Future’ for our 15 Year Anniversary
Uncork Together in Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country for the 15th annual Half Corked Marathon. Get your costumes ready and join in our “Back to the Future” theme this year! This unique run weaves participants through the vineyards and valleys of the region’s iconic wine-growing areas, the Black Sage Road and Golden Mile Bench, along with sections along the beautiful Okanagan River. Winery stations dot the 24km route, with the opportunity to engage with the region’s colourful characters as they pour samples for runners to enjoy. You can also join us at the Primavera Dinner on Friday the 26th at a picturesque long-table in the vineyard, and Dinner on the Farm Saturday night after the run, hosted by winemakers in an intimate, alfresco setting.
In-Person Registration
Friday, May 26th, 2023 | 11:00am – 7:00pm
Location: Oliver Community Park, (beside Parks & Recreation)
All participants must check-in IN PERSON on Friday, May 26th. Participants must have two forms of ID one must have a photo and be issued by a government agency (i.e. passport, drivers license). You cannot register for someone else.
- Failure to register IN PERSON on FRIDAY means you will be ineligible to participate on the course on Saturday.
- You will be given your assigned wave and pick-up time at Registration – all wave assignments are FINAL
- Bus Loaders will be verifying your registration prior to loading
- There is NO OPTION for registration on Saturday
FRIDAY ~ Primavera Party
May 26th, 2023 | Starting from 5:45pm | Transportation from Oliver and Osoyoos at 5:10pm
Location: Tinhorn Creek Vineyards
Enjoy a delicious Spanish-themed dinner by special guest chef Javier Blanc, featuring traditional Spanish tapas to start, followed by grilled Iberico meats, patatas con salsa and confit peppers and eggplant. Iberian pork is imported from Spain, where the pigs are raised free-range on meadows of southwest Spain, fed on a diet of acorns, which influences the distinct texture and aroma of the meat.
Settle in and soak up the atmosphere with team mates, friends and family, while sipping the award-winning wines, lovingly grown in our region’s vineyards. Primavera tickets are available for ALL to enjoy (you do not have to be a HCM participant).
Primavera Party Ticket $135.60 (plus tax) includes transportation from Oliver or Osoyoos.
SATURDAY ~ Half Corked Marathon
May 27th, 2023 | Assigned wave pick-up times will be given at Registration
The annual Half Corked Marathon is a unique run that weaves participants through the vineyards and valleys of the region’s iconic wine-growing areas, the Black Sage and Golden Mile Benches, along with sections along the beautiful Okanagan River. Winery stations dot the 24km route, with the opportunity to engage with the region’s colourful characters as they pour samples for runners to enjoy. Creative costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded for the best individual costume, best team and best skit.
Participants should plan that their wave time could be assigned at ANYTIME on Saturday morning and will have a maximum of 3.5 hours to complete the course.
Endorsed by BC Athletics, participants should be able to run 5km with some levels of incline over rugged terrain, in order to comfortably complete the 24km route in the time allocated. As always, the Sag Wagon will be ready to assist guests who don’t reach the mid-way point before the cut off time, and transport them to the Party at the Finish Line.

SATURDAY ~ Party at the Finish Line

Location: Oliver Community Park
The Party at the Finish Line is the ultimate celebration at the end of the run, and the chance to toast the start of summer with live music, food trucks and more wine tastings. Vancouver’s Paella Guys will return to offer a paella feast. Join the fun as we cheer on participants crossing the 2023 Half Corked Marathon Finish Line. In addition to live entertainment there will be food trucks on location, and wine sampling. General admission is free but you can purchase a wine tasting ticket that includes a souvenir glass to keep and five samples.

SUNDAY ~ Food Truck Brunch Showdown

Location: Nostalgia Wines
Four food trucks will face off for your vote for “Best Brunch”. Enjoy food from the following food trucks: Bo Betty’s, Law of Attraction, Pit Stop Smokery and Aboriginal Joe’s and vote for your favourite! There will also be prizes and wine specials during the event.
Your $15 ticket includes a mimosa (or juice), a voting ballot, and $5 of the ticket is donated to the Tour de Cure of BC Cancer Foundation. All food is a-la-carte. We welcome all Half Corked Marathon runners and our community to attend and may the best chef win!
